dude... who's let the nerds out!

Anyone up for some dugeons and dragon? and maybe civil war re-enactment. Maybe as a wrap up, we can fishish with pokemon tournament... :D

John4 ... Don't Listen to F&C ... he thinks associating with fantasy gaming or anyone that does is somehow not cool or something. I think he is insecure in his manhood or something. He got all bent out of shape and talking about sports when I mentioned my previous Dungeon's and Dragon's exploits. Just goes to show that you have an imagination !

I have done those ... except pokemon ... that is some whacko stuff there man :D :D ... so what are you trying to say ??? Are you hiding a dark secret ??? You seem to know ALOT about this activity

No thank you ! It is unfortunate that star wars crowd is lumped into the fantasy/military gamers.

I love Star Wars but that stuff is just ewww weird. But I respect them for being themselves !

yea ive sold a wow account for $900
a starwars galaxies account with a jedi when they first came out and super hard to get for $2k
then ive sold a bunch of credits/gold for the rest of the money lol

Yeah ... I am way out of touch because when I played the home computer and internet were no where near what they are today. Heck I got into computer programming because I wanted to speed up our Star Fleet Battles games. My buddy and I wrote an Atari basic program that did damage allocation and movement. It barely fit into the 132K memory my Atari had!!

Your dad would be proud :) J/K If you met the kid my daughter and I met at Barnes and Noble you would think otherwise. He must have been 5 or 6 and he was CONVINCED that pokemon and the real world were intertwined in some way. I made the mistake of mentioning jigglypuff (sp) and my gosh he went off on a 10 minute story of his journies. He was telling me that he was off on a weekend journey with his pokemon he captured and that his mom was ok with being away from home for a few days.

Man this kid HAD ISSUES !!!

Even my daughter caught on and said "Dad lets go ... he is weird"

just the normal stero type for world of warcraft is a 25year old virgin that plays 10hours a day and lives in his parents basement lol

Alright I got to admit, I was into Diablo Exapnsion. Great RPG game. have all my characters clvl 94 and above play both ladder and non ladder and my zealot is one mean mtf!!

Yep and I played D&D as well as a youngster. I hear ya John. I have sold some gear and made some $$ as well.

Im 37 and play on and off more off then on. :--| Planning on selling my account for some major $$ on e-bay or D2 trade forum once I officially give it up.

Alright, light on the bashing , but I bet some of you got some major malfunctions in that closet of yours. So someone fess up. So my has been addiction to RPG games seems not so bad after all.

I normally don't watch South Park, but I did catch the last 15 minutes of it. Hil-arious.

It brought me back to when I was playing all the Blizzard games: SpaceCraft, Warcraft, Diablo. At school we would play floor vs floor. We had our doors open and all you heard was everyone's speakers blaring and people yelling instructions to each other.

I also got into some Madden and Counter-strike.

Haven't played much lately but still enjoy it. :D

BTW, SeaSalt, I was told we can only participate in a Civil War re-enactment as the cooks. :eek: :p

My girlfriend likes Star Trek, I could never get into it. I do like StarGate, I think it's partly because I'm a history nerd.

I've never played it. I couldn't justify paying monthly when I could still play other games (such as Counter-Strike) for free. :D

man when you guys said counter-strike, my heart skipped a beat...that was pretty much the go-to game by those of us in NORSTAR...which i'll explain later if anyone wants to know...but yeah we had all the latest mods downloaded and geez...that game really soaked up some of my life...they really dropped the ball on source though...yeah graphics and such are better but i can still remember the hollow screams as "slash"(the default player name) trotted down b-tunnel to terrorists base...as i write this i'm ranked 36th in my pub of over 26,000 regestered players...
