Ok, since we have an RPG thread going, yes I know the acronym, not a D&D person or any of that stuff, I have my own question.
Who here plays poker? Thought I'd ask because I don't think I've ever seen a thread on it.
Me, I picked it up last fall and it's incredibly addictive. I've played tournaments that had up to 300 people and come in the top 20 and now I'm playing online. Is there a P&S support group for this yet?:D

I do too. Playing free games at the moment but I loaded $20 to play and see what happens. Their system is acting really wierd tonight. No idea what's going on there.

Been playing Texas Hold'em for quite some time now. Just came back from AC, stayed at the Borgata. Didn't go to the poker room. Ended up playing Paigow for 8 hours and came back 4 digits less.

Bodog poker has freeroll tourny's every night. I've used them for almost 2 years now, good stuff. Once won a freeroll tournament with 1000 people in it, took 4 hours. I don't play nearly as much as I used to though.
I got addicted to it, played online for a year and a half on Poker.com. Got bored eventually and haven't played in about 2 months. Haven't played for real in years.

about every two weeks we have 7 to ten players that play. Great way to make some money or lose a few. I am up in my gambeling career. Thats cause I see it as a way to make money not just for fun. That takes the fun out- keeps the fear and greed out of the thinking also...

I hate playing on the internet because it's alot like some of the free tournaments I've played in where people will just go all in, all the time, bully the table, etc.
I used to play at this one bar, $10 buyin with the winner taking home $150-200. It was alot of fun and the best thing is, if you played like a donkey, you wouldn't be allowed back. Got to play some really good people, a couple of whom were in the WSOP.

Same here ... for me it is all about the fun of interaction and calling your buddy's bluff. It is great as long as you are playing with good people.

Sportsinteraction.com is where I play. That is my sportsbook and they just opened a casino and poker room as well. The reason I joined the site to begin with is that is a beginners site for gambling on baseball and college baskets/foots. By beginer site I mean that "beginners" tend to bet favorites and overs which scews the line towards under dogs and unders (totals) which I like to bet. Anyway, the beginner mentality has spilled over into the poker room and it is easy to make some $$$ in there. The sites that are geared towards poker are stocked with better players and it's harder to turn a proffit.
