Just a note to say thank god for this site and I´m still alive. I´m spending my last night in Quito, Ecuador before closing up my month long PhD field research season. Been a long one to the Galapagos Islands and The Ecuadorian Amazon. Just thought I´d let you know you can easily lurk all the way over here in the ole internet cafes. You guys kept me entertained on the days when I needed a slice of fishing Americana. Thanks. I´ll put a post up about my adventures with plenty of picks come August 12th when I return from my vacation at Cancun with the wife. I only touch down for less than 24hrs in the US before I head out of country again. Here´s to this site, see you guys in a few and I´ll hopefully have some East Coast FL reports. Been too long wihtout fishing, gettign a little twitchy on my bail finger.:fishing:

no I work for Florida Institute of Technology's paleoecology department. I study past climate and vegetation changes for the last 30-50,000 years.
I belong to the program of shark tagging as a conservation minded angler. I sent a letter to that department requesting to join and they sent me the needle dart, tags, and some great ID and info pamphlets. In fact I just got my first recapture. They sent me a neat hat with their logo.
