I have been reading this forum for about 3 weeks. I will be spending a week starting, 8/17/07 at Cape Caribe, overlooking Jetty Park.
I have pier fished alot. I usually go out on the Bannana one day and the Obsession another.
This year I bought a surf rod (Emblem/Eliminator)
Any advice???

Welcome to the forum.Good to see another from Ky. on here.Don't know the area you are fishing but sure someone oh here will.We swim a lot during the day and I try to find spots where the waves meet on the shore and the washout creates deeper channels,mark them in some way and come back late evening and get set up for night fishing.I use spoons,jigs and sabaki's to catch some baitfish and fling it out and hope something finds it which is usually the case even if is sail cats or hardheads.
