I'm in the market for a new custom rod and was leaning the Wheeler route, but a friend of mine has two RDT custom Saltiga's and swears by them. I will be testing one of his in a few weeks. I was curious now that they've been out a while what people's experience has been with these rods. I've done some searches on the site and found a few old posts, but it's been quiet on them for a while now.

I've been real happy with my Wheeler's and think that's the route for me on the next heaver(#4 Wheeler). I was just curious what people thought that had them(balistics), but evidently that's not many, or they're not talking;) . I saw a few at RDT that felt light and looked nice, but until I cast one I can't really say. But I like feedback and opinions from the board, or lack there of.
Nserch, please post what you think of your rod, I dig reviews of all the gear.
F.A., your the reason I don't sell on the board;) J/K(sorta):D

great rod, I would rank it right up there with the inferno. My brother has one, and I fish his as well. The only think I dont like it the soft tip. It just bounce to every breaking waves and wind. I think it's the lightest heaver out there, and it's compact being 3 piece. You can't go wrong with either one. But my next one might be the Magnum.

Have one. Love it.
Looking to get a Fusion built soon.

R/S1509 are my Plank rods
I don't even take the HDX out anymore.
I recommend that you cast any rod before you buy one.

The Fusion is a killer rod, I have two and an inferno. I heard RDT has a Nitro sitting in the shop. I'll definately cast any rod first, matter of fact I'll be tossing the ballistic this weekend, if anybody cares I'll give my .02 on it.
F.A., I'd never guessed you where a salesman;) I'm cutting slack as I type.
