someone offered a price lower then stated, and yes pm's were given, and he was the first one to say.."ILL TAKE IT" for the stated price in the thread..


if someone else wanted it , they could have said "ILL TAKE IT" " MINE" OR something to the likes of that...and yet..no one did.

if what he did WAS wrong, and someone b4 him had posted "Ill take it for posted price" he then wouldnt have gotten the reel.

1. Please post a clear description of the item and the price you are selling it for.

2. If you want the item, post "I'll take it." Once a seller has accepted from a buyer, the seller must make a post saying that the item has been sold.

3. This board is for personal items only. Retailers may not post here.

4. No eBay auctions. If you want to sell, sell it here.

And please keep comments about the item to yourself. If someone's selling an XYZ reel, this is not the place to post how much you hate that reel. Questions should be directly related to the item.

Disclaimer- Nothing personal, just setting the facts straight.

WD- You're right, reading the rules goes a long way in terms of keeping peace and making the world go around smoother.

FA- It was labled sold to you before your "I'll take it" Then yes you were the first "I'll take it" so yes technically it's yours...but you must admit, the rules were broken to begin with. WD aint much of a little boy either, he's probably forgot more about fishing than you'll ever know.

Jesse- Im not sure what WD has done to ya, but he's a straight shooter. He might come across a little grumpy at times, but it's humerous and he's always by the book. As far as I know Im a member of most of the boards you two guys frequent as well and Ive never seen him out of line, just always points out the rules and when theyre broken. Not everybody gets the opportunity to fish the salt every day/week/month. You were once at 45 posts as well as anybody with 45 or more. Post count has nothing to do with it. As I remember, a certain somebody near and dear to this thread brought that up and was quickly shot right back down bc most of his posts were non-fishing related.

Have you ever paid much attention to SOL's buy/sell/trade forum??? The way TimS runs that thing is like a well oiled machine. Personally, I like the people as a whole, better on here bc I can related to them and have met a good many of them. It makes it run SOOOOO much smoother if a simple "I'll take it" takes the cake and no PM's are involved. If you guys are going to pick a battle, atleast have weapons to fight with, not just shooting blanks at each other.

Well, first off, you are correct, you dont know what Wdbrand has said or done to me in the past.

Second, I wasnt "blasting" him because someone was "breaking" the rules, because as stated by a well known and repected site moderator has already settled NO RULES WERE BROKEN.

OK here goes,,,,, there were no rules broken. FA must have sent a PM asking for a lower price and Jaron accepted and then Jaron posted it was sold before anyone posted "I will take it" so hence no rules were broken.


As for him always pointing out broken rules? Last time i checked he didnt have a moderator label under his screen name, so why does he think it is his responsibility to point out when everyone else is wrong?


hell, maybe sand flea should give him a moderator label, considering he has nothing better to do except pick people apart and point out every miniscule thing that HE THINK'S is done wrong.

I The problem is this, someone lists an item for sale for a certain price. Instead of a buyer posting the "I'll take it", they do the PM thing and then someone posts that they will take it and it's already gone. I purchased an item recently, there was a listed price. An offer of a lesser price was made and IF agreed that person would take it. That offer was turned down and I posted that I would take it for the listed price. Apparently there was some sort of agreement, that I was not aware of, made between the seller and the person who made the first offer through the PM's.

That's the problem right there. Weather it happened or not was not my concern. I followed the rules by posting that I would take the item after that first offer was turned down.

The rules are few and pretty simple and work great 99.9% of the time and a lot is sold for no charge to the buyer or seller on this board and if ya ask me that is the best deal in town for everyone.

If we made the rules so where only a laywer could understand them then how many folks would be upset and break the rules by accident since the simple rules we have now get bent from time to time.
