Just moved to north fl. from so. cal. did a lot of party boat fishing in cal. tried it here sooo different,want to start boatless fishing ,surf and pier and jetties.
This seems like a good place to get info.............

Yeah, I think you're in Barty B's area. He might be a good one to talk to, try posting in the FL board and you should get some excellent info.

Welcome to forum, but why Ormond Beach, well ok lots of T&A in summer, but over run with snow birds soon,get on Hwy 40 west and stay on it till it ends at Edge of gulf (Yankeetown) ,fish off of bank, get local tide chart as low tide, dont waste time,can also fish the river right there also or the Barge canal about 1 mile south of Hwy 19 & 40.. Al

Thanks to all for the welcome ! Sounds like all fishermen are the same east or west, starting to get acquainted with the east coast methods I have many rods with different reels, just need to get a handle on what works here , bait hooks line ormond beach is fine lots of fishing places ocean and back water...
