for the past several weeks i have been making my own casting metals. However cutting and trimming down the metal(silverware, Brackets) and aluminum (Siding, plumbing) scrap that i have come across is time consuming and especially unforgiving when detailing the piece. can anyone recommend a partIcular type of metal shear or more efficent way.also are there any ways to bring up the shine in some of my duller metals. Thanks in advance folks:)

i dont know if this idea of mine would work, but have you tried a dremel? it has different interchangeable heads.

You can also toss on some powdered pumice stone and hit it with a buffing pad on the dremel to polish it up.

If God had had a Dremel...he'd've finished the world in 2 days.

Stop by one of the arts & crafts stores and look at some of the newer holographic tape that is available too. You can make some really cool looking lures with it.

Try a trolling sinker, scrape the lead with a knife to make it shiny and buy some eyes from a tackle shop. Then put a treble hook on the brass ring.
