Just applied a couple of days ago. My SEAL buddies don't have very nice things to say about how opps are conducted, as far as overall safety of our guys. However, my wife just left me and I need $$$. My dad flew Eric Prince, the Pres of Blackwater around in his SEAL days, and says he's a loose cannon.

Oh, and don't believe the lies and half truths that Henry Waxman and company are trying to pass off as the truth in the media. I imagine you would hear a different story from the State Department personnel who benefit from their security services. The story takes on a different tone when your carcass is being protected from snipers, RPG's and IED's.

So? Whats your point? Are you trying to say that Blackwater is bad because some 1/2 truths You saw on a You-Tube video that was made by a left wing idiot? Waxman id a known hack, and sensationalist.

Waxman and Moore, share back row seats in dark movie theaters.

I wish they would contract Blackwater to take out moveon.org , it would be far more constructive than protecting some politician who can't wait to get back to DC to spread more lies.

It's great job and no shame in it. The only issue is that they are not answerable to any court of law. I'd take that job in a heartbeat and I'm supposedly a "bleeding-heart liberal".

Once again you fail to see your problem when you post, so I'll spell it out for you. Your original post [mercenaries, like the Blackwater USA] leaves a ton of room for others to interpret what you are insinuating, and OBVIOUSLY since mercenaries already have a negative connotation most people thought you were taking a stab at Blackwater USA. If you agree or disagree with Blackwater then say so, don't leave it up to others to interpret what you 'meant' in your post, and maybe then you wont have to be defensive every time someone questions your motive.

For me, like Mahi Mike said, "The story takes on a different tone when your carcass is being protected from snipers, RPG's and IED's." I'd want to be protected by Blackwater USA in dangerous parts of the world if I needed them. Luckily I don't have to travel outside of the States.

Alot of people like to criticise Blackwater, but the fact remains that they have not lost ONE person under their protection. That's a pretty good record.

Heck, I think the left is picking on Blackwater because all their attacks on the military are failing; the charges against the Haditha marines have either been dropped or downgraded, as is true with the soldiers in all the other so called 'atrocities' which the left claim have occurred with no proof. And since their attacks on General Petreus have blown up in their faces...well, they're left going after contractors like Blackwater in order to smear the current administration.

Black Water U.S.A is simply outstanding. Their mission is to protect personnel and assets in hostile enviroments. They are not bound by R.O.E (Rules Of Engagement) and can freely engage hostile forces as they see fit without spending valuable time to contact HHQ (Higher Headquarters).
These are courageous warriors that serve a valuable purpose.
I will have people disagree with my comments but me and Jimmy Crack Corn could give a #@&&.
These alah akbar dudes are no joke and any time we side with these jokers we comfort and aid the enemy. Kinda reminds me of Hanoi Jane spending time with the V.C (Viet Cong) (my Dads era, not mine).

Blackwater is mostly composed of superbly trained and dedicated former Seals and Special Forces guys who have been a great credit to the US during their time in the military. Waxman is a feculent piece of dog $h!t who doesn't give a rat's a-- about what Blackwater does or doesn't do. For him It's just another opportunity to "investigate" something, throw a bunch of crap against the wall to see if anything will finally stick, to help continuing to undermine the current administration in every possible way, as he has been doing ever since 2000. If a Democrat was President, Waxman would have no interest.
So now Waxman, in charge of a Government watch dog committee, charged with the responsibility to keep tabs on GOVERNMENT activities, wants to use our taxpayer money to investigate Rush, Hannity & Levin-civilians, who have popular talk-radio shows. Note that their shows are popular ONLY because millions of Americans want to hear what they have to say about various issues of the day. Their crime is telling the whole & entire story about whatever is in the latest news, that the mainstream media chooses to be silent about.
Of all the people, "dignitaries", etc that Blackwater has protected, at great risk of their own lives, they have lost Zero people they were charged with protecting, while about 30 Blackwater employees have been killed protecting them. If I ever have to visit Iraq, I know who I want watching my back.
