Being born and raised in Akron it's a true pleasure to finally beat them. 0 for 6 during the regular season was just a set up. Now they know how Custer felt. :p
It's a shame to hear that idiot Steinbrenner say what would happen to everyone before they even lost, nothing like adding a little pressure to an already tense situation, what a nut job.

I really think the Tribe has a definite shot at taking it all. Great pitching! Did you guys ever win a Series with Albert Bell?

Not unless he was playing in 1920! I can relate to how the Indians feel. As a Sox fan, 2004 has to rate right up there on my list of greatest things I've ever seen. I know the Indians have a terrific pitching staff, but I hope they don't produce in this series. Go Sox!!!

The Indians were in it twice in the 90's (95 & 98 I believe) with losses to the Marlins and the Braves. The loss to the Braves was no where near as bad as the one to the Marlins in the 12th inning of the 7th game. What made it worse was when the owner of the Marlins sold the entire team the next year after 'buying' his championship. It turned me off to professional sports almost as much as when they let Al Model sell the Browns to Baltimore.
