so angry and frustrated? For the first time in a long time we've allowed ourselves to believe we were a good team - and though I don't think we were expecting superbowl - we were expecting every team that played us to know they'd have to bring their A game if they expected a win. We got caught wearing our heart on our sleeve and its hard to put it back once its out there.

Most of the EAGLES fans I know were looking at the Jets game as a gimme and rightfully so. The one thing we are in Philadelphia is realists. When we suck we are the first to admit it.
What indicated to you, as a Jets fan, that your team was a good one?

Defense was in the top 5 in the second half last season. Added some good pieces to the defense Revis, Harris, Bowens, Kenyon Coleman. Offense was ok and we added Thomas Jones. We have a coach who's spent his entire career with Billichik and Parcells.

I've been a Jets fan since Joe Willie won the Super Bowl for us. And I don't know what it is, but whenever something looks like its going to change our luck, it blows up in our face. Not to mention the draft blunders (Ken O'Brien over Marino, and Blair Thomas over Emmitt Smith, leap to mind) and the way the rug is pulled out from under us, Vinnie getting hurt, Al Toon, Dennis Byrd, Parcells, Belichek, I could go on and on....

Mike I agree with you. Which is my point exactly - THIS time looked very DIFFERENT - but SAME old sad story. I am willing to give Mangenius another season to show what he can do. I just hope WOODY made it very CLEAR to him that losing to the Bills who were last in defense and pretty close to the bottom in offense is very UNACCEPTABLE.

Maybe they should actually play in NY and in their own stadium?

We tried that - spend many millions on trying to get a statium in a dumpy area of Manhattan - beautiful design right on the water - no space for tailgaiting - anyway it was shot down by ONE man on the NY Control Board. Gov and Mayor were both for it. It would have housed the olympics 2012. And MSG Owner James Dolan spent millions against it. Which is why the NFL draft is no longer held at the Garden. Love the way the NFL stuck up for their own.

Maybe they should actually play in NY and in their own stadium?

There is also NY, the state. ;) :p

I remember when they tried to build the stadium. Oh, well. So much the better for a Pats fan.:D

Chit the NFL stick up for their own? Remember the greatest game ever played? The Baltimore Colts against the Giants...... well the NFL and Jack Kent Cooke really backed up Baltimore, from the middle of the night departure, the attempts to get a team in the expansion, all the way through snagging the Browns, oh, but the NFL made us let Cleveland keep the Browns name while Indy still has our name, our history, but not our heroes, Johnny U died a BALTIMORE Colt.

Have Jeep will travel :D

NY put the curse on the RED SOX. I am now putting the curse on the JETS!

I will officially remove this curse in 2050. I will consider doing it earlier for 1 pail of GULP LIVE curly grubs.;)
