My oldest daughter gave birth to my first grandbaby this morning.
It's a girl, 10#12oz and 23". Yup, that's a keeper. :)

Mother and daughter are doing fine. Actually, the mother is whipped. She's of small stature and it wasn't an easy birth.:(

Grandpop??!! Dang, when did I get to be old?;)

Yup, that is a big baby, especially for her. She's small, 5', 95#'s soaking wet. She did marry a 6'6" linebacker though.

No c-section, natural all the way. 30+ hours of labor.

Wow now that's a big baby! Can I start calling you geezer or old fart from now on? :D Hmmm... don't care.
Tell you what Jiro, I just had Chipotle's for lunch. Stop by in about two hours and I'll be able to help you decide which one.:D:D;)

Thanks again guys. I didn't do anything... she did all the work. Looking forward to spoiling that baby. :)

*cough, cough... wheeze* ;)

The youngest of 4 kids moved out a few months ago and my play time is just beginning. Feel like a newly born kid again after being a single parent for 10 or so years. :)

Congrats R ;) Are we ever gonna see ya again????? :DNot a prob Yul. Unfortunately, they're 9hrs away down in NC. Won't affect my play time much. Now, getting my house ready to sell, buying another and marrying my fiance' next year... now that may cut down on some trips.

Heading to NC the weekend of Nov 9th to hugababy or I'd be out on AI that weekend with everybody else. Oh well.

did your daughter deliver normally or thru Csection?

just had to ask, 10# is quite a lot you know.

Normal. No c-section.

I talked to her a little bit ago. She had an epidural during the 30hrs of labor, but it wore off about 2 hours before she delivered. She was dead set against having a c-section and stuck it out. The baby was doing fine so the docs went along with it. She's a tough little gal. They gave her Pitocin all day yesterday trying to speed things up.

Delivered 1 hour past her due date. 23", 10 pounds, 12.5 oz. Almost 11 pounds. Wow.

As John said up there, I'm thinking about making her up a Citation to take to her. :)
