This one is the one I might get.
STT 50 4(CRBB)+1 4.9:1 220/50 840/40 24.3
Heard it was a good buy and holds plenty of line and Daiwa has some good drags and lighter than my Penn Senator.

Not really a new reel, per se, but a special run that Daiwa makes for BPS. The Saltist 50's usually only come in silver, but BPS has them in black. Pretty much the same as a regular Saltist 50, which is a darn nice reel for the price. At that price point, IMHO, the Saltist beats the Shimano Torium hands down. The 50's probably a bit big for casting though...
I have the 40sha and its good just not so great for casting but it is castable. Its the cheaper version of the saltiga line

It's not more of a boat rod...in fact it's not a rod at all...:p:D But, to answer your question: yes, it is more of a boat reel.

Yeh for like king fish or tuna.....look at the speed of the reel its like 6.4-1....thats some quick reelin to keep the pressure on!!!:fishing:
reel looks hella nice in black tho.
too bad the reel sizes arent the same as the SHAs.
the spool position on the stt seems to be taller and narroweer if you compare both 30 size.. but maybe its just the pics.
