I'm looking at the Lamiglass Arra XSRA 1084-2 for throwing Rockfish Rockets, metal, and the occasional plug. Anybody fish this rod?

i own it. i use it matched with a twinpower5000 for jetty bucktailing. the highest weight i've thrown with it is 2.5ounces, the lowest is 1 ounce.
very nice action, plenty of power.

don't have a 108 but have the 102 and the 120... both are excellent for plugging... I have stradics on both of them spooled with braid... wouldn't give up either one...

I may end up going with the one-piece anyway. Opinion seems to be running pretty strong against the two-piece. Problem is, it's almost impossible to find. Looks like everyone only carries the 2.
Still up in the air over reels. Those Twin Powers are nice, but I'd rather not have to sell a kidney to buy a reel. And I gave up on Stradics a couple of years ago--give one a light dunk and it's shot.

I have the 108, not exactly sure which model but it is "the most popular" spanish rod down south. 1piece. I really like it but it could be a bit stiffer at the tip. It throws metal and plugs well.

they overhauled the entire stradic line up for 2008. take a look at it again, the FI series. i gave up on USA sold reels and went JDM 3 years ago, but i recently picked 2 stradic FI, and i am extremely pleased with it. the new stradic FI has a waterproof drag and is approve for SW fishing.
NOTE: the two piece is thicker than the one piece.
