just discovered this site & am addicted to sharking off the beach and/or by small boat (mostly the Gulf Coast, Outher Banks & coastal NC).

i aslo shark fish from north carolina...im setting up a sharkin trip for one week next year, in the summer...im still lookin for people to come, so if your interested then let me know....so what kind of gear do you have for sharkin (if you dont mind me askin)....tight lines to ya!!!

fwiw, i'm @20 miles north of you, in Prince William County, VA.

most of my sharking rigs are in storage in TX & are almost w/o exception Penn Senators from the 1960s & 70s, on IGFA sticks. 6/0,9/0 & an OLD 16/0 on an "antique" custom made 120# class rod.

fyi, my brother owns a beach-house on Oak Island, NC from which i do some fishing, except when he has it rented out. (may i point out that Oak Island has a public pier,from which a @1200# tiger was taken a couple of years ago???)

Keep in touch and try and meet up to do some sharkin....an old 16/0 huh...id like to get my hands on that....id run a 15lb cow ray with 100lb mono...what you got that thing spooled with...tight lines!!!!
