The dog doesn't know how to speak English.
However, I can read the dog like a good fishing publication. I know that when the dog gets off the couch and shakes her head and stares at you, then she needs to go outside...
I know when the dog gets off the couch (do you see a pattern here..:D) and sticks her ears up and stares at you, she's hungry....
Some dogs are smarter than others, I think I got a smart one here. She's a black lab - Rottie mix and is my best friend.
The wiener dog my X just dropped off has a peanut sized brain.....
I make sure the dogs get a good run on the beach everyday, and I think that helps them to have a good respect for commands and hand signals.
How do you train a "lap dog" to listen to you and not run from Chix to Lesner w/ it's eyes rolled back in it's head humping washed up garbage?
I'm very dedicated to my lab, as she can see birds from quite a distance further than I can. Off the the leash she will alert and run towards a flock that's picking the shoreline.
