Just being realistic...we already know that we have several starters who won't be playing (e.g., TO, etc.) and the starters who will play (e.g., Romo, etc.) won't play the entire game. So...it's kinda like a pre-season game for the 'boys. But...it's really a must win playoff-type game for the 'skins. So being realistic...the first string skins playing a must-win game might be able to beat the 2nd and 3rd string 'boys playing a nothing-to-gain game.

So I was perusing eBay today, and came across a new in box Stradic 2500FH. It was on sale as a Buy It Now for $4.99. Yep, that's not a type, $4.99. I immediately bought it, and now the seller if refusing to go through with the deal, refunded my money, and will not answer any more of my messages. He says it was a mistake on his part, that he was interrupted while posting the item, and not I'm more or less SOL. I've escalated it through PayPal, but do you guys think I'm being unreasonable? The item was there, fair game. I paid for it right away and did everything according to what you're supposed to do.

Just going to enjoy the experience, regardless of the outcome.

Sure I hope the Boys come to play, but if they're feeling charitable and hand the game over, I recognize it's in their best interest.
Course, last time Dallas did that, Barry Switzer wished ya all a Merry Christmas, and then went on to win the BIG game.
THen again, maybe we should be concerned about knocking the skins out now so we don't have to face them later------ RIGHT!! :p:p
Thanks Dr. B- should be a great time, irregardless. To clarify the bonus (tickets) actually came from my daughter, who will be joining me for the game. Ya should have seen her jaw drop when I saw the tickets and suggested I needed to get on the phone to find a fishing bud to join me !! :p:p
Well, got my face paints and getting ready to watch the Giants take on the Wonder Team.
Will post back on the experience later, hopefully with some pics - anyone know if cameras are allowed in the stadium ? Tickets didn't say they weren't, and listed other stuff that was prohibited, so I'm assuming it's kosher.

I've only been to two Redskins games and they were both at RFK. The second was against the Cowboys and we were on about the 45 yard line on Washingtons side of the field. Went with a Cowboy fan who was wearing a jersey and he was so paranoid someone was going to pick a fight or something. When we left, he mentioned that Washingtons fans were the most polite fans towards the opposing teams fans of any stadium he had visited. He mentioned far and away the worst were Eagles fans. Heck, any stadium with a judge on site to convict people of being drunk and stupid at the game must be a rough place to visit! BTW, Washington won that game against Dallas. Fun trip, and SurfCat, glad you got to go and enjoy yourself!

Oh, by the way, last time I checked, a loss is still a loss, whether its 52-7 or 42-21 (or whatever the score was that the cowpies lost to the Pats).
Hey Sand Trout I'll give it to you on the score, the only thing that wasn't more accurate was the fact the 'girls' played their starters the majority of the game and still amounted to sasquatch!

Was kind of funny, Hat.
For grins I took a trip thru the Redskins stadium store. Not much of interest but they did have a rivalry shirt showing Dallas on one side of the ball and Skins on the other, with a caption of 8 combined Super Bowl victories.
Being that Dallas contributed 5 of those wins, and the Skins 3, doesn't seem right in them wanting to "share" that total

Dallas has the better of the two teams this year for sure, but other than T.O., I'm not too sure what starters sat out for Dallas. They didn't let Romo stand back there as long as he played behind a second team offensive line. That being said, the womens auxillary at my church could have put together more than 1 yard rushing against Washington! 1 yard rushing?

skins are a 4 point dog (so far) in seattle. 3 of those points are just HFA, leave 1 point.Ill take it all season long. they lost in 05 there in the first round, seattle looked better than than they do now. you can say the skins have to travel out there and theyll be tired ,but Seattle just traveled many more miles back and forth to get beat by ATL(lmfao). give me the skins straight up in this one(and plus the points) .

Wow! You'd think the 'skins had won the Super Bowl or something the way they are celebrating and talking trash.
Let's put things in perspective and bring them back to reality here...
The Cowboys were already without several key injured starters, including wide receiver Terrell Owens (who burned the 'skins for four touchdowns in their first meeting), cornerback Terence Newman, center Andre Gurode and nose tackle Jay Ratliff.
Tony Romo only played one series into the third quarter. By the fourth, most of the starting offense was off the field and several defensive guys were out of the game as well. (Let's not forget that this is a team that is notorious for getting off to a slow start and then exploding in the 3rd and 4th quarters...but not gonna happen with 2nd and 3rd string on offense).
Did the backups matter?? Well, I recall at least two sure TD passes that were dropped. I'm thinking TO probably would have caught them.
The game meant nothing to the 'boys who were able to lose 2 of their last 4 and still maintain the number one seed in the playoffs!!! The game meant everything to the 'skins who thought they would need the game to make the playoffs. The 'boys played like a team that had nothing to gain and the 'skins played like a team that had everything to lose. Emotion and intensity makes up for a lot in this sport.
So a highly charged and emotional team playing what basically amounted to a must win, playoff-type game for them beat a bunch of back-up players in what amounted to a pre-season type game for the 'boys.
Congrats to the 'skins, I guess??? :)

Wolfgang, you make some really good points . . . your right we (Skins') NEEDED to win and in a sense, it was our Super Bowl. I've said it before, we're not a Super Bowl team . . . maybe we can get there, maybe not, but IMO, everyone is playing for second place to the Pats.
I was real psyched to see my team that I've followed since I was a wee one play FOOTBALL. Regardless of what happens, we overcame a lot this year, and am proud to be a Skins' fan. I like to trash talk as much as the next guy, but this win was something just to appreciate. Good luck to everyone's teams in the playoffs, but I'll be rootin' for my Skins'!!!! :D

Nope, not whining...just stating the obvious. And not taking anything away from the 'skins either. They did turn their season around and had to play some great football to do it. Collins has been impressive (more so than Campbell ever was), as has Portis and Moss.

The Cowboys are the best team in the NFC (on paper). They have no heart! We are about to see them fall apart in the playoffs. People diss TUNA for being old school, but this is where he excels. He would keep his team focused and hungry. Wade has not done that.... FACT! Dallas has played sloppy football for the whole month of Dec. They are starting to Fizzle out..
While the media continues to give Romo a hand job just remember he is still an unproven QB in the post season... He has all the Talent, but you need more than that for the playoffs.. You need BIG BRASS BALLZ. The Jury is still out on ROMO...
The Defense..They have got to be the most overrated in the whole NFC. Even healthy they are slightly above average... Roy Williams couldn't cover his AZZ with a baby blanket.. Whenever my favorite WG (White Guy) #47 burns Roy you know he's washed up.. Chris is the man but he won't win a foot race,,, :) LOL

Very eloquent KMW. Your mastery of verse amazes even this jaded soul. But tell me, how do you really feel?
