what sz snaps do you use when connecting leader to the plug

size 4 or 5 tied with a double clinch knot.

I dont use a snap or a swivel whin tying to a lure. I will tie directly to the lure with a uni knot. this works perfect for me.

Yeah, I try to avoid using a snap as well. Just seems more natural to me to tie straight to the lure and not have another piece of metal hanging off.

Believe it or not adding a snap to a lure will give it more action and as long as it isn't to to big. I usually use a size 4. I noticed my swimmers and poppers have alot more pop to them.

#34 Rosco Coastlock or Breakaway Fast links..Spin links for smaller plugs. I just started using the Breakways but so far there great for quick changes.

I believe it. L&S baits has a knot they recommend for their MirrOlures that would avoid having a tightly tied knot and give the plug some wiggle room. I may have to rethink using them, but old habits die hard.;)
