i jsut got a tsunami 9ft for christmas and was wondering if a emcast plus 4500 is to big any suggestions if is

well an emcast sport in 4500 and my guess is yes it would be bigger than you'd like for a 9'

IMHO...a 3000 or 3500 series spinning reel..4000 or 4500 is a lil over kill...save them reels fer yer heaver or heavy boat rod.

Whats the model number and what are the specs?

Check the balence on it.. Put the reel on the rod and see if it balences on your index finger... should be around the top grip.. your finger that is.. if it balences then its not to big........ Just my opinion.. thats how i test all my rods and reels.. You can never have too much line..
