I am sure you know but in case you or others that are reading don't know get your license online. Yes it costs a few dollars more BUT it comes as a PDF file you can print as many copies as you need! VERY VERY convenient. Especially for me. I keep a copy in several places.

We don't need no stinkin' license!!! (At least not in Florida, unless we are fishing freshwater or off a private boat.) Doesn't hurt to get one though, for all it supports and also in case some nice person with a boat offers to take you out. (Are you listening Florida guys that own a boat???:D)

The VA licenses are no longer by calendar year, but are now by date of purchase. So if you bought a license in June, it's now good until June of the next year. Check your expiration before buying a new license.
