I was fishing w/ a bud on Sandbridge today and he said there's a guy in Jersey that makes/fishes a jig that emulates a 14 or so inch flounder.
Kayak Kevin caught a 50 some # Striped Bass and found a 14" Flounder in it's belly.
Anyone heard of these monster jigs???

I make them on a regular basis. Very easy to make. The biggest I make are 6inch.

It's real simple to make.
Take your rubber shad bodies, glue them together back to back with a good rubber cement glue but leave the tails free to move' Let them dry and out em on a jig of your choice. I use 1/2 oz to 2 oz owners in mine. But if ya want I'll send ya one.

Do you have a pic of one to put the seed in my minds eye?

If you pull in a big 'ol something or other and it pukes up another something or other that's undersize, can the man give you a ticket?

ive seen some actual flatheaded lead heads, painted, and flat rubber bodies with colors that look exactly like 5-6" lil flounder..
one of the cobia i caught from the pier this year had ATLEAST a half a dozen of lil hand size flounder in its stomach...ill definately be finding myself a handful of these jigs/bodies...
flounder taste kickass to me, guess fish feel the same way :-)

Pics have been posted in photo gallery.
Like I said, it's easy to do. The 3 and 4 inch are great for weakfish and flounder. The 6 inch and bigger are great for the ever elusive striped one.
Note: Super glue will work in a pinch, but dosen't really last long.
Also for the bigger shad I like to use the Owner jigs 2oz wit 7/0 hook.

Thanks RD.
I'm going to give it a try out by the CBBT as soon as the wind lays down. Looks it may work for a couple or three more weeks here.

I think it would be a good idea to glue them together and lay them flat, and put a jighead in each side. You could make a small harness on it for it to tie directly to a main line. That would fish the bait flat to the seafloor and nake it look like a small flounder. I'll if I can rig one up tonight and post pics of what I'm thinking.
