Wow... lots of information here...
But I feel kinda lonely. Am I the only one from the Pacific Northwest who fishes the surf?

Well...probably, but then. there's darn few of us here that would try to cast into a 100 mph headwind...no matter what brakes or magnet settings we choose!!! How's the weather up there today??? LOL Welcome...I'm sure that no matter where you fish, you'll be able to find useful information on here! Good to have you! It would be nice to get some reports from you area and give us a different perspective!

I have a customer in Eugene who I need to visit a couple times a year. Always wondered if there was any surf fishing around that way. Might need to look you up next time I am in the area. What do you fish for out there?

I've always wondered what folks in the Seattle area do as well...seems like there'd be a lot of fish being pushed in by the big storms out there as well, but you only read about salmon fly fishing which doesn't sound that exciting :-)

I always thought they hung around Starbucks all day long. Didn't know anyone fished up there, other than as was stated...fly fishing, etc. Not so sure fly fishing for salmon would be "unexciting" though. I think it would be a blast to hook up with one on a fly rod...but the best part would be eating it later!!!:D
