I think the O line of the Pats should have gotten the MVP for the season not Brady and he proved it in the super bowl. Whats your opinion?

josh mcdaniels is a moron.
running the whole first half instead of shooting. throwing the ball was what got them to the superbowl and was what gave the other 18 teams problems. the moronic coach elected to run instead of throwing.

do you think after the first INT by Hobbs if the patriots elected to throw on a go route deep to Moss, maybe do it 2x that position, it would change the outcome of the game? it certainly would change the defensive coverages and open up the middle for welker.

I think Brady was more hurt than we know. Planting his feet to get zip on the ball is crucial, and he moved like he was walking on eggshells. A healthy Brady would have changed the outcome.

Brady wasn't hurt.....before the game. The Giants D line came to play and had a great game drawn up plan by coach Spags. The Giants outplayed the Patriots...what's so difficult to understand about that.

brady wasnt hurt it looked like he had plenty of zip to me he was under pressure and with no protection he sucks and he proved it i agree the offensive line is what made him look good giants outplayed them period any qb can do good with protection

The O-line had a couple guys back from injury. They handn't played together in a while so yeah, there were probably some synch issues.

Brady and Peyton Manning's is arugably the best QB they are both used to a good O line and they rarely get sacked b/c of that so yes I think it was mostly the O line. But it was a long day for Brady.

I've been saying all year that Brady was over-rated and it was his o-line making him look good. He is a great QB when he can stand in the pocket all day, but he folds like a wet paper bag when he's pressured. It was amazing how much time he had in the pocket during some of the games that I saw this year...makes it pretty easy to find an open receiver or check down to Welker when there is nothing else. But obviously some credit has to go to that Giants defense for applying that pressure and disrupting Brady. But with that being said...I actually think Brady was hurt during the Super Bowl. There were times when he did have time/protection, but his throws were still off...the accuracy and zip was missing...something wasn't quite right even when he did have the time he needed.

From the rumor mill:

Brady's personal passing guru, Tom Martinez, now tells the New York Daily News that Brady's performance in the Super Bowl suggests that the ankle was indeed bothering him.

"He had chances and he had guys open, but in an atypical way, the ball wasn't getting there," Tom Martinez told the Daily News. "[The coaches] didn't move the pocket much to get him outside the pocket. They didn't do some things they've done in the past. That led me to believe there was some kind of problem with the ankle.

"I saw a different approach from them," Martinez added. "They're so smart, and yet it was kind of shocking they didn't have a few more answers. I felt like -- and I have to be careful with what I say -- that they stayed too long with what they were doing.

"They weren't really aggressive the way they went about it. In the second and third period, it's like they were trying to hang on, 7-3. That led me to believe that something internal was going on. It wasn't typical. Those coaches always have answers to the people who give them problems."

i've been saying it all along. something is wrong with the offensive coordinator.
mcdaniels should be fired for being an idiot. he kept on running when even forrest gump can't run. they should've came out shooting. throw a deep to moss on the right side. then on the next play throw another deep to stallwarth on the left. i bet that would open things up.

that was the most boring/dragging superbowl i've seen. i wouldn't pay 12 sandfleas to see it if i knew they'd play that way. i'd rather soak my fleas on a kahle hook.

well i think the ankle injury is bs but for benefit of the doubt if he was hurt (and he wasnt its an excuse) he should have said something and let a healthy back up qb in i agree brady is 100% overrated he cant handle pressure

Respectfully disagree with you there. That was the best Super Bowl in the last few years.

And on your Wed morning coaching, this same Off cord was the one that led them to 18-0 right??? What, he threw the last game? Get over it, the Giants defense came to play and the Pats felt they "deserved" to win and they lost. Stop whining, you are starting to sound like a skins fan...:p

I agree on all points, but perhaps they were forced to run more because Brady was hurt and couldn't carry the load/make those deep throws like he normally does...who knows? There were times when he had shots down the field and botched the throw.

And, yes...BORING is an understatement (except for the last two drives of the 4th quarter).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...if you like defense and no scoring then that was one for the ages.

But...if you like shootouts and plenty of footage for the highlight reel...that game did not deliver.

hey im a skins fan but i dont whine if they dont come out to play then they deserve to loose just like the pats and brady wasnt hurt that is just an excuse for his poor performance under pressure

For me, it was a GREAT game.

Giants did the same thing they did to other teams including Dallas- pressure the quarterback and keep the high scoring offense off the field.

Add a great last drive, a miraculous catch, a 1st down conversion on 4th and short, and Eli comes out looking like the hero. Drop the pass, not make it on 4th and short, we have a different outcome, we'd be calling the Pats heroes and giants zeroes.

Woulda , coulda, shoulda, it's over- great game.

:p

I was watching InsideNFL last night on HBO and they were breaking down some key moments in the game. After watching this
I have to say that the Offensive line for the Pats got worked. They fell for everything as shown on the replays.

Head fakes, Switches, turn and go's, etc. They fell for it all. They were truly outplayed and outclassed on the line. Strahan and
Umenyiora just beat those guys with straight up speed and power. No tricks from them two.

I'd say it was the O'line that was hurting. I'd also say it was the defense. Seau and Vrabel fell for alot of fakes too. The Gmen kept
changing the plays on them constantly. In the replays the Pats D never looked prepared.

Brady's ankle is a whole lot BS. They can't just straight up say " we got outplayed and outclassed ".
IHMO they are sore winners as well as sore losers. I'm happy they aren't the greatest team in NFL history.

my wednesday coaching would've win that game, i'll bet 24 sandfleas on it.

yes the same coach the coached them to go 18-0, and the game that really counts cahnged his tactic from a shooting team to a halfcourt team. why changed the tactic which had gotten you that far?
keep on shooting. they were palying scared. the offensive coordinator got his tails between his legs. that usually happens when you're playing not to lose.

the most boring superbowl EVER. except for the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter. but the rest of the game was dull. even my sandfleas fell asleep watching the game. the sandfleas said, the waves constantly slapping the rocks are more fun to watch.

]Why must you bring in the Redskins fan diss? I agree it was a great game and I'm glad the gmen won ONLY to keep the Pats from the perfect season. As far as the whining goes, I guess you didn't hear Wade Phillips after they got beat in the playoffs "After looking at the game film, the best team lost"???????? Not a fan, but the Coach! Now THATS whining my friend! See ya on the point

The pats "O" Line got thier asses beat. Why? The Giants D Line came to play.

Its that simple.......Brady got the beat down all game long.

5 sacks.

6 knockdowns

23 hurries.

Montana, Unitas, or "who ever" would have had a horrible day. It would not have mattered who took the snaps. It was a done deal.

Giants Defensive line played one of the best games I had ever seen.

Lets give them more credit than just saying that the Pats had a bad game.

Congrats to them!
