Not making excuses for the Pats. I didn't have a dog in this fight so I couldn't care less, but I have heard this debated over the past few days and was just curious what you guys think...
It's arguable that the 32 yard pass to Tyree (the one he caught by pinning it against his helmet) was the decisive, game changing moment. On that play...should Eli have been called sacked/in the grasp on that play which would have eliminated that 32 yard gain which set-up the TD pass to Plax??
And...on a side note...allegedly there were also at least two fairly obvious holds that the Giants got away with on that same play and Seymour was practically clotheslined.
Now...I realize that bad officiating is part of the game and practically the norm in the NFL. And like I said...I didn't have a dog in this one, but what do you think? Just curious to hear opinions...not trying to start a controversy! :)

And the main reason why is he was still moving while the linebackers were pulling at his jersey. To me that really made me a believer out of him as I always thought he was a wimp.
Yep what Jason said. Eli should have been sacked but wasn't and the reciever made a heck of a catch. Its amazing all these theories and Wed afternoon Coaches...
The bottom line, the Giants out played the Pats...

no he wasnt sacked he wasnt down and kept moving that was eli wanting the win and fighting for it just as the receiver did on the same play with the catch he wanted it and he fought for it and made an outstanding catch yes that was the turning point at that point i knew the giants had

the crazy part is 2 months ago if you told me the giants would beat the patriots in the superbowl i woulda laughed at you & called you a crackhead. funny how times change. giants wanted it more.
the giants were murdered by a team that couldnt make the playoffs, the vikings.... when crunch time came, the giants became collosal.

okay, so what about the 4th down punt by the Patsy's that was call back on a "technicality" that the G'men had a 12th man on the field?
He was in mid air and about to land out of bounds, but was ruled that he was still in so the pats got the 1st down and the ball back..well, in that case, what about all of those passes that was cought in mid air but the reciever landed out of the endzone? sounds stupid but wouldn't the same rule apply?

I don't think it is the same thing because the receiver has to catch the ball and establish position in the end zone where as the player leaving the field was still in bounds until he steps out of bounds

Giants kicked the Patriots azz. The NY defensive line should have gotten the MVP. One of the best LINE efforts I have ever seen.
Great job!
