Ok, I'm sitting here in Phoenix, AZ with only San Diego close enough to get into saltwater. But I can't go to SD, gotta work. I'm board so I'll ask a few questions to the P&S folks .

Let me preface this by saying I will fish anywhere, anytime (isn't that a nice heaver?)...at any rate, why only fish one style of fishing. The way I see it, there's
-Using Heaver's & a conventional on any given beach
-Kayak Fishing, Bait or Arti's (that's a debate among it's self)
-Fly Fishing (Salt or Fresh)
-Spinning
-And motorized vessels..of course..(Off Shore, Inshore, they seem to have their own click)

Why limit yourself to one disciple when you have soooo many options. I try them all as much as I can, I suck at most and excel at a few....

Is it the fact that if you get "comfy" with what you're good at, you won't try anything else???

I personnally fish how ever I can. If I have to cut a finger off for bait then so be it..
I try not to limit myself to one style. That is why this year I am taking on fly fishing. I also work on a private charter boat and still beach and jetty fish.

i fish just about every way you can. sometimes i feel like going on a boat, sometimes the pier, sometimes fresh water, but for some reason catching fish from the surf is the most rewarding to me. i dont know why, thats just the way it is. and thats why im usually on the beach.

ps- the pier is a close second.

I like to mix it up as well. I fly fished in Colorado a couple of years ago. This year I hope to make it back to Montana. Yee-Haw!
