hey guys,
tunadog here. I spend most of my time in the NC forum but have a broad range ? tonight and thought I needed a bigger audience. I was surfing ebay tonight for the first in a long time. I'm into Abu, daiwa, and even cabela reels, but the had some crazy prices on Aussie and Japanese hardware. I know the shipping is a little more but I just wanted some feedback on some off-name brand stuff. Anyone tried; Rainbow, Oscillate, Pelagic, Pro gear, Tufftackle, or the ABU knock-off CZH. I'm guessing some are like the Rolex Knockoff I bought in bangkok, But maybe some are worth a try. Any info is appreciated.

pelagic are excellent reels. I am not sure if they are a knock off either.

Slammer, get your mind back on the fishing. I guess your name says it all.

Tunadog, I have serviced my share of Abus in my little shop and from the photos, that reel looks like a pretty good reel. I have never been inside any of the rest of them. As stated above, as soon as I get a new reel, I too tear it apart to see what makes her tick.

Abus for life man!
