Jaron15 posted a reel for sale. Did not say he would not ship, did not say pickup only. I posted I'll take for the asking price if the price is shipped. Then this wayne cat who has about 35 posts all in the marketplace I might add comes in and I get cut out without even bing told the reel was pickup only which I would have done gladly for that price.

I'm not really PO'd about it. Just think it was kinda underhanded......:confused:

Some folks use this site as there personal fleamarket. Atleast contribute something to the board besides the words....I'll Take It.....

I have to say, I agree with you. That wasn't handled properly. You have a right to be upset based on the rules of the forum.

I have to say, I agree with you. That wasn't handled properly. You have a right to be upset based on the rules of the forum.

Actually the rules say

3. If you want the item, post "I'll take it." Once a seller has accepted from a buyer, the seller must make a post saying that the item has been sold. PMs don't count.

Not "I'll take it if..."

Doesn't look like it was underhanded to me.

Yeah, I guess you could look at it both ways, he doesn't say anything about not shipping it either.

I have also missed out on a deal or two, but I have bought a couple of sweet reels at a great price also. Hate it or love it, P&S has one of the best market places on the web...:redface:..I still agree that should have been your reel..

I did and replied. Again I restate my point. How was I suppose to know you did not want to ship. Like I said in the post , no biggie. Lesson learned.

Its really easy...if the item for sale says +shipping he will ship...most say "local pickup" or shipping extra...the back door PMs come up from time to time, but its better than it was...great deals posted here...the MODS have a handle on any problems...

And AirDown you were screwed.

It's funny how all these poster's in this thread go to the 'Rules State this' when someone has a problem; but don't say crap when the item is listed forsale incorrectly.

Look, its not rocket science.

If you want a item than just say "I'll take it" period.

If when you go to PM's you find that like in this case, there is no shipping than you can call the deal off or if you really want it like Airdown did you make arrangements to get it.

If Airdown had said "I'll take it" and then Jaron15 sold it too wayne then he would have been screwed.

He didn't and he missed the reel.

Its pretty simple...

A deal ain't a deal unless it's a done deal. If people play games then they won't be making many deals. Heck I don't know about all this stuff, I've seen a thing or two I thought to buy but haven't gotten off my duff to make it happen. Sorry for what happened but let's me know that when I want something I'll say "I TAKE IT." But my opinion is side deals with PMs with terms other than "I'll take it" (as stated in the post for sale) are bending the intent of the board.
