Flounder Gigging/Shrimping

I just got 3 Starlights from WalMart and I'm building my light setup for my boat. Should the lights be in or out of the water for gigging? Should I have 2 in and 1 out? What about for shrimping?

Mine were all in the water 6 200watt run off generator. What you get is underwater no glare,above water glare.I just used mine for gigging in NC, when I lived in Moorehead City. I dont know about shrimping

I agree with the in the water lights for gigging...the cone is the problem...lots of times they are going before you get there...need a wide cone and lower lite...for shrimp, seems any lite works...jmo
