On commercially purchased drop rigs, there is a loop knot tied below the swivel. Off this knot is a tag line where a hook gets attached and the other end continues to another swivel which at this point is crimped. My question is this. What is the knot used at the end of the swivel where the tag line comes off?

Some rigs have a perfection loop with a long tag end attached to the hook. It is a easy, quick strong connection. I use this to make my own tog and spot rigs.

All the commercial rigs I've seen have a perfection loop tied for the dropper. As jlentz said, the knot works great for dropper rigs like that. Definitely one worth learning.

Thank you. I will try today. I had been using a double overhand but noticed it didn't look the same.

This is the easiest and best D/D Rig to make.
