I dunno why I want to share my thoughts on this private matter.

My father called tonight telling me he has a 4 inch by 3 inch tumor that is cancerous. Located in his groin and attached to his pelvis. Bone cancer not diagnosed, pray g*d. Further treatment to follow.

After years of disagreement we've been back together. Too many years lost. In recent years enjoying fishing as we did when I was a child and he's enjoyed the same with his grandson.

For several and varied reasons, much of the family is unwilling to help him. I'm proud to say that he's my father and I will fight to help him in his aging days. He's come a long way.

I'll say what I usually say...analyze to the positive and make it work. Forget that sometime it sucks. Chin up and move on.

Bottom of the ninth and extra innings!!!

Sometimes we don't make the best of kids and sometimes we don't even make the best of parents, no one is perfect and everyone has their own faults.

You made the choice to let your father back into your life and gave him a second chance and it sounds like you made the right choice and your life is better for it.

Our praiers will be with him and your family.

The one thing that I have learned the years is that FAMILY is FAMILY. Mom and Dad could be Charels Manson and Lizzy Borden, BUT...they are still your Mom and Dad. I have also learned that second chances don't come that often. I lost BOTH my parents at a young age. My Dad at 9 and my Mom at 12if the rest of your family dosen't want to have any contact or help your Dad, well that's on them. Their loss. When the time comes they will wish they had made the peace but then it's too late. Been there and did that. Life is a choice. I hope things work out for you and your Dad. Boss Dogg and I will keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

Hey man Prayers are with you. If no one else wants anything to do with it then it is their loss.
Kudos to you for putting family first.
