pax trash

Sunday morning I took my neighbor to PAX NAS for a couple hours we fished from the rocks on the bridge side of hog's point. When we got there we had to clean up first,
Someone had left three bags of garbage on the sand. The garbage bin was only 75 feet away.
I called the base police and they said that they would have the areas patrolled. They thanked us for cleaning up. They were catching several people that a person with a military id would get them in and then go on their way leaving them to do as they please. They would then pick them up and take them out. They were fishing with no base license.
This crap happens all over but at least here they are keeping it under control.

I'm with you dude. I don't know what's happened this year but I've seen a BIG increase with trash. Are they putting the "now start trashing the place" medicine in the water or something? Or is it that people are truly convinced that it doesn't matter?

Hopefully they'll write a few tickets!!

Or could it be that them throwing the trash really aren't fishermen and they are doing it so as to make us look bad and have fishing stopped... the anti-fisherman conspiracy theory...?? nah...probably a bunch of lazy stooge heads.
