$4.00 a gallon gas for 87 octane, or the croakers showing up in numbers, to be caught from shore????

Once gas hits $4.00 there won't be many people going fishing and if they do they won't be able to afford the internet to make reports. Kinda like loosing your memory without remembering what you had forgotten.
Interesting question... I bet if we get the so-called gasoline holiday this summer you'll see prices skyrocket past $4 per gallon just after Labor Day.
When's the danged market manipulation investigation going to begin? Oh someone just refreshed my memory....they already did that and everything is A-OK. Sorry, my bad.

I read an economic projection which said that by 2019 gas will be around $450 a barrel and at least $15 a gallon at the pump.

ive been paying 4.60 to 4.79 for diesel. average 180 bux to fill up each of my trucks...
and what pisses me off even more are the stupid gas stations that cut the credit card off at 50, 75 or 100 bux so i have to insert the card again, sometimes 3 times, seperate transactions, just to fill up my truck...wTF??

It'll be up a Quarter in the next week. Anyone following the news? Your government thinks a Federal gasoline tax holiday will help... only to increase demand and give em a basis to increase prices. Gimmicks and tricks, heck go find a wizzard in a Florida school system...he's got the answer. Do you really think that uncollected tax revenue will be received from Corporate America?
Tell your elected a**h*l* to give a break to commercial delivery, yeah truckers, so that costs aren't passed off to you for that bagel or apple that you eat. These simple idiots are dispicable...yet its all we have to vote for.
Once again I apologize for being caustic but I've had enough of BS policy.

$4 first
Why is the US auto industry behind in alternative fuel research? There's already a new BMW that runs on hydrogen, why can't they mass produce that?
My wife planned to get the new mercedes benz that runs 50miles per gallon and i'm pushing her to get it, so when she sleeps, i can steal it and go to sebastian inlet and fish:D.

Isnt it terrible that people in other areas of the world that take oil out of the ground, and pay 25 cents a gallon laugh at our anguish?? Isnt it terrible that a huge corporation IN THE UNITED STATES called Exxon, can laugh at us, while they NET over 10 BILLION each quarter.
Something stinks, something isnt right, something HAS to be done.
Is there anyway while WE are dependant on oil, that we can just kick the ____ out of the Oil Producing Countries, and answer questions Later?? Why does the United States have to kiss ___, and continue to?? Why cant we just____.
Is this thinking, just way to radical, or is it finally time to do something defferent??

It wil be $8-10 a gallon, not $6. Man it is going to get real bad for the average, and poor people in this country in so many different ways, when this happens. And it will probably be this way as soon as the fall.
What in the hell, can we do to HURT the OIL COMPANIES, and OPEC????? Where is the leadership in this country??? Must we go backwards first, before we go forward??
I am convinced that most poeple on Pier and Surf are a hell of alot brighter than the people in Washington D.C. Can anyone figure the B.S. out?

STP gas additive turns a tank of Regular into 93 octane and costs about $2.00.

:mad:Think about this:
The gas companies are upset because the cost of refining has increased 70% while the price has only risen 30%.
Seems like a legit concern, right?
But check it out. If cost starts at $1 and price starts at $3 ($2 profit); 70% of $1 is $.70 so cost is now $1.70. 30% of $3 is $1 so now price is at $4 and the new profit is $2.30.
So basically oil companies are complaining about cost increases while making record profits.:rolleyes::rolleyes::--|

They make 8 cents to a gallon of gas. Dont confuse profit with profit margins.
The federal Gov't makes 40 cents a gallon, and doesnt lift a finger to get it, other than block future exploration and refining capabilities. Not to mention the 14 different types of gasoline they make the oil companies put out.
The cost per barrel would drop in a heart beat if the congress why back off drilling restraints, and let the oil companies build more refineries. The arabs would start taking us a little more serious.

Sorry, I think I misspoke.
It's the oil companies that are complaning, not the gas refiners.
I'd be willing to bet that oil companies are making much more than 8 cents a gallon of gas.
And the federal gas tax is I believe only 18 cents a gallon. Still ridiculous, but 40 cents would make a much bigger impact if they suspended the gas tax this summer.

With alot of the recent gas price hardships that have been hurting us , I have been tracking the oil imports from the middle east. It is not as high as you think. We are getting screwed by our own friends as well.
