Life and fishing after divorce

My divorce was finalized on April 30. I haven't gone fishing in 18 months. I used to be a very good fisherman who got hooked on surf fishing at the age of 32. Lots of trips to OBX and AI. Lots of fish caught and monsters lost. People have told me that I need to get back to doing what I love. I look at all of my fishing tackle that just sits- Van Staals, Abu's, Calcuttas, Penns, Avets, Rainshadows, Infernos, Fusions, HJ customs and the list goes on and on.

My question is- should I start back slow with river and stream fishing here in WVA, or go all-in for another trip to AI or OBX? Maybe some of you have been in my shoes yourself. I will gladly take any advice under consideration.

Head to the ocean and hook one of those 50lb red drum and hang on to your shorts. It will spark a new begening and will also spark up an easy conversation with one of the bikini clad chicks on the beach. My .02

I think a beach trip is in order. Got to feel the sand between my toes again. Probably fish at the walk-over at AI. Pack light-three rods and take my new Honda Civic that gets 40 mpg. Don't have to ask for time off from work- no job. Been living in my self-imposed prison long enough- people tell me that my ex wants it this way. No more. Thanx again.

Well, I would have to say go fishing, go fishing, go fishing, and then go fishing again. It dont mater were just get out there and live life and enjoy man, hope to see you out and around some time.
