Here's the article: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/local/baltimore_county/bal-te.md.lng26apr26,0,5658278.story?page=1

We all know alternate energy is needed. But is Bay's improving health going to be threatened? Which markets will this energy serve and who will bears the costs for any damage done to the Bay? I'm not convinced of little or no damage from dredging the Patapsco (but I'll look further).

Here's a study, see page 14 of this link for fishing impact http://www.mde.state.md.us/assets/document/AES%20RR8.pdf

Comment period ends June 16th.

Read the last paragraph of this news piece, http://www.examiner.com/a-298158~Fed_bill_aims_to_expose_contributors.html and then compare to the fishing restrictions noted in the study shown in the link above, which is on or about page 14, noting EPA consumption notices for certain fish in the same area.

Also note that the area is no longer a superfund site, I believe because the land owner's voluntary program brought it into MDE rather than EPA. So we're talking voluntary compliance now.....hmmm???

These are generalized maps and not specific to the issues. They are from another study that may open up more issues in the very near future.
