Line choices

So many choices, so little time.

Here are my choices and I would like to hear what you would opt for in the situation. Primarily surf fishing, some boat (inshore/inlet).

Berkley Big Game Hi Vis 15lb
Stren Origional Hi Vis 17lb
Sufix Tri Hi Vis 17lb
Yo-Zuri Hybrid 16lb

.016 for the two 17#, .015 for BBG 15# and .016 for the 16# hybrid.

Leaning towards Sufix Tri, just hard to get.

Shock leader will be 40/50lb cajun red or BBG.

Thanks for any input, any other suggestions would be welcomed as well.

I used berkley big game for years now I use Yo-Zuri because of dia. to break strength= more line on spool. I likeem both

I'm a Sufix guy...so next time I need a line that's what I'll be reaching for. Need to get a 1 lb spool of 17 Tri.

Sufix Tri+ and a Berkley or Ande leader and you won't go wrong

Sufix Tritanium Plus in 17 lb along with 40 lb Sufix for my shock, or 50 lb Ande. I don't think the brand of shock leader is as important as the main line and Sufix is a proven performer.

Rob: Scroll down and go to Greg's Bait Shack board and click on his banner at the top. Go to online store and then click on "line", then "monofilament". Greg has both 1 lb and 1/4 lb spools of Suffix Tri in just about all the tests. Give him a call and get a P&S price from him to ship it to you. He's great to work with and he'll ship it right out. His retail on the 1 lb spools is $36.99. I'd recommend the 17 lb. 1 lb spool so you'll have it when you need it.
