I was looking around in bass.com and theni noticed this http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_71994_151005001_151000000_151005000_151-5-1 momoi says that their nylon monofilament has a smaller diameter and is just as strong as the same rated mono? my main concern is does it cast right? because usually nylon is very "sticky" and im guessing that it would slow down the cast.Any experiences?

oh trust me i do too but the thing is i cant just spool all my reels with it, ive got to go with the cheaper alternative thats stuffs expensive, plus all of my big reels are spooled with it i mean for my small spinners, for catching bait and for fishing with while im soaking a bait on my biggies. i wouldnt like to have pp on those small ones.i think its a waste.

I use Momoi on my Abu Blue Yonder and my 6500c3ct mag.
It allows me to put more line on these small reels and it casts really well. I like it.
If I threw a spinning reel I would prefer to use braid tho.

ALL of my rigs that I tie for myself or ones that I sell are made with Moi-Moi or Jinkai mono.

I haven't tried that momoi line and can't find the breaking strength on it.I do use the Berkley Big Game Hi-Test in 20# test for larger fish. It's .43mm and has a breaking point at 36lbs.It cast great and I haven't had any break offs from fish or chaffing. But,it's expensive!

If I threw a spinner I would.
Smaller line diameter allows you to put more line on you're spool.
If I threw a spinner I would put braid on my big reels where I would need more distance.
On my smaller reels for catching bait I would use mono.
A spinning reel will cast further than a conventional reel when casting smaller weights.
1/16 ounce up to 3 ounces.
When casting weights of 4 plus ounces the conventional reel casts further IMHO.
On my conventional reels mono casts better than
braid, plus if I get a backlash its very hard to pick out compared to mono.
Some people can cast braid well on conventional reels, Ive seen it done before but I am not that talented.
