Anybody here tried em before? See the thing is i want to get my dad a gift and well i want to get him a nice daiwa black and gold 20 becouse he tears up his reels like butter and well i need a rod to pair it up with and well im paying for the reel and im going to ask my mom to pay the rod and well theres this deal going on and its 2 9' penn pursuit surf rods for like 45 bucks and well i was thinking about and thats a good thing cause then i will have a rod already for when i get my bg later on and its at a great price but are the rods of good quality? they will be used for plugging and for using squid for grunts and small mangos and stuff, are they flexible? whats the difference between the 8 and 9'er, just the size? i noticed they both cast 1/2-3oz but the 9 says 12-25 lb line rating instead of 12-20 on the 8'er, any difference?flex?and most importantly are they heavy?thanks!
