Money and time aside... what would it be?

What ocean, island, river, bay?

Islamorada-Florida Keys. From sailfishing, kings in the winter, to mahi mahi in the summer offshore. Back country tarpon, bonefish, permit in the spring and summer.

Havent even mentioned the incredible bottom and chum fishing on the reefs. It is a paradise in the keys fishing. Ihave been lucky enough 3 times to get there and do it all. You never know what will hit you line offshore in the different seasons. Blackfin tuna, cobia.. I saw a monster hammerhead at one the bridges tear up a hooked 150 pound tarpon.

Heaven in the Keys***

Been to Marathon Key several times. Last time we had three groups of friends, big house on the Gulf side and a nice 27' rental boat for the week. Chumming for snapper, bottom fishing for grouper, shark fishing in the evenings, trolling for cuda's and macks off the reef, live lining pilchards over wrecks for cobia. What a week, a month, no problem!

Panama hands Down, About the only place in the World you can fish 2 oceans within a hour of each other, Alantic and Pacific sides, with plenty of fresh water in between (peacock bass).

The first week I would want to stay at home, fishing my local spot for winter Cod. Standing in the bay at night, the moon kissing the ocean, the silver sea, illuminous lines of surf, and yer face, sparkling in the freezing wind as the frost clings tae yer skin, BRRR! Twang, "fish on" and the adreniline thaws yer bones.

Week two, back to New Zealand to land that steelhead I never landed at the Tongiriro Taupo River. Damn thing got away, it was huge I tell ye.

Week three, I still fancy a week chasing Stripers on the East Coast USA. There's time yet, you lot have planted a seed.

Week four, I would like to find a place where I could flyfish for Barracuda, is that possible?

I could always dream.

I would cruise up the Amazon searching for trophy Peacocks for a week. Then do some work on the bonefish/tarpon that frequent the eastern portion of the Yucatan for a week. Then light up the Florida keys for anything and everything for a week. Then I would come on back home, to Frisco NC and realize that I could've spent the whole month here and been just as happy!!!!

But I would also like to fish Great Bear Lake in Canada.

But also would like to return to the trout stream where my father taught me to trout fish on; Fox River, Little Two-Hearted River both in the UP of Michigan.

I dont fly fish but I have seen Barracuda caught on a fly rod.
I have also seen other types of saltwater fish caught on fly rod as well.

Hmmmm..... for me I'd have to go with a week off the NC coast for Giant BlueFin Tuna

Maybe try to do some sort of a slam in the Keys

A week in Alaska for salmon

Then finish it off with a week somewhere on the NC coast: preferably during Oct.

Yes. Florida Keys or the Bahamas.

My first week would be Alaska for halibut and salmon.

Week two would be Hawaii.

Week three would be Ireland or Scotland for flyfishing and lots of pub crawls. Plus I'd have to visit the town of my ancestors along Loch Ness.

Week four would be New Zealand for some flyfishing then off to the Great Barrier Reef for a grander.

I would fish the South Pacific. Starting with going back home to Hawaii and then go from there.
