roaming around Southern Anne Arundel County, and the Northeren Calvert County areas. Anybody heard about this or seen his cub?? An article I think was in the Wahsington Post.
Where is his Mama and Papa??

Its time for them to be roaming. The only large mammals in North America that breed in the summer. Juvie males are often pushed away from mom this time of year, and in turn bounced around from territory to territory by other bears and often end up in places not normally inhabited by bears.

In the August 15, 2008 edition of the Washington Post, the 2 year old 140 pound cub was caught in Arbutus, Maryland eating apples in an orchard.

My wife was telling me some neighbors found a bear had gone thru their back yard and ransacked a couple of birdfeeders. Not sure if there are any other details. We live in a lake community, not exactly wilderness, but not in the heart of city life either. Strange hearing about a bear that close.

Theyre out of their 'normal range'....had to CROSS a major lake or river to get to where they were....not impossible by anymeans.....but there are far more remote places.....or heck, places with dumpsters on the other side of the lake closer to 'home'
