Hey guys, as I type this I can look out my window and see the Avon Pier. It is quite torturous (normally I sit in a different part of the office, but we had the carpets cleaned so i had to move today). Anyways, I can't stop staring out there and I was wondering.... All I ever see are people tossing Gotcha plugs all day/everyday. The question.
If you were no longer allowed to use a Gotcha Plug on the pier, waht would you throw? Rattletrap? Spoons? Jerk baits? Suspending baits? topwater? I am just curious as to what else works out there.
I was tossing a Stingsilver and an oldtimer told me it was a waste of time from the pier. Any other advice?

It's a metal lure, it comes in all different color variations. Braid makes a similar jig but i definitely like the jigfish better. They sell them at wal-mart....

2 1/2 oz Krocodyle in silver prism finish. Replace the treble with a single hook, stainless steel SIWASH one and you're ready for slinging! ;)
If the prism finish gets beaten up by the bluefish, get some more as it comes in sheets and you just cut the prism material to size and stick it on to replace it...

Thanks. And for the spoons do you just put a weight, then mono leader, then the spoon?

Ive used the old Double Bucktail trout jigs in a pinch, They will catch Blues and Spanish , But they chew it up very fast and you get some breakoffs..
