Yeah, that is sad. Oh man, I hadn't heard that. I don't know whether or not he has a wife and kids, but thoughts and prayers certainly go out to the surviving members of his family.

I think he had a wife and family. I know he had one of those "reality" shows one time, and from the looks of it he had a wife and kids. I really wasn't a fan of Bernie Mack at all, but it's sad he passed away.

Bernie left a wife, a daughter and a grand daughter. He was a brother who liked to Keep It Real.
Sad thing about that ailment my great grandma used to refer to as "the Galloping Consumption"......refered to today as Walking Pneumonia.
It got James Brown also.
And the sad news just keeps on coming.... Heard that Isaac "Shaft" Hayes passed away today. He was found on the floor beside a treadmill in his home. Wow. :(

I had Walking Pneumonia at one point in time too. I didn't know it was fatal. I guess if it goes untreated it is. That's a shame.

Can't say.
However, I personally know 3 people who have passed away with it. Saw a couple of them walking around their yards one day and then found out they passed away a couple days later. Got a call on Xmas day that one of my Great Aunts had just passed away as a result of it. She had been feeling ill but didn't think it was much more than nagging cold symptoms.
Seems once a person is hospitalized, they may be at the point of no return.
I have known personally of a couple of persons who were treated early because they realized coughing up blood from the lungs needed Immediate Emergency Room attention. They were treated and released with antibiotics. And are doing well til this day.
I wrap up well in summer as well as in winter. And I definitely don't sleep with the air conditioner on. Seems something about cold and or damp air may be a contributing factor.
