Looks like a scammer got suckered into to travelling far from home and is now stuck somewhere with no money, no phone and doesn't speak the language. :D

Adamu, that's a classic. I think about half a dozen scammers got caught up in that one. There was even a photoshop movie poster contest.

Some good quotes:

"They're shooting, what do we do?"
"Run left"

"We're streded in hash conditions" :D

Did ya get your safari hat emanuel?
Thats just awsome.

I just spent 3 hours reading some of those, and had to tear myself away...

Yeah, I got my safari hat finally. I usually specialize in getting their bank accounts frozen and fund seized but it was fun to send one on a long and painful trip.

It'd be like telling someone in Northern Virginia that there was a striper blitz in Ocracoke, and lying horribly about it.

Funny stuff this is.

When reading the link I was wondering what the terminology "419" was all about.

Per the FBI, the number "419" refers to the article of the Nigerian Criminal Code (part of Chapter 38: "Obtaining Property by false pretences; Cheating") dealing with fraud.
http://www.fbi.gov/majcases/fraud/fraudschemes.htm
http://www.nigeria-law.org/Criminal%20Code%20Act-Part%20VI%20%20to%20the%20end.htm

The FBI also states "Some victims have been lured to Nigeria, where they have been imprisoned against their will, in addition to losing large sums of money. The Nigerian government is not sympathetic to victims of these schemes, since the victim actually conspires to remove funds from Nigeria in a manner that is contrary to Nigerian law." Talk about a long and painful trip...I'd rather take a trip to the OBX only to find that the striper left weeks before I got there...

Terminology?
The Baiters would have to WU some funds to send a Mugu or a few Lad's on Safari to get your Streaded butt out of there.

What it the heck is that supposed to mean? Why are you making caustic comments for such a mundane post like I made.

Loose YOUR agenda.

My post simply expressed the results of my interest in why the terminology "419" was being used. (Uhhh.... as in "419eater" which is what you see when you hit the link that Emanuel provided in the first post.

BTW: The content is directly from the FBI site, didn't you notice the quotation marks?

Were you the one that posted that website a few months ago? I spent 4 hours one night just reading about all the fools and how you guys have conned them back, its amazing! I even went as far as setting up my own fake email and have stored several phishing emails, but haven't taken the 1st step to contact them back. Might be a weekend project... Keep the posts coming and let us know how you do. Cheers!

My post was simply to expressed the results of my interest in the terminology they use on their forum.. It would mean nothing unless spend a little time there.
Also to back up your point of what a long and painful trip it could be for any American. Not just you.
Sorry I got your day off to a bad start.
I mean that.

Note to self: Always put smillie faces after lame attempt at humor.

I think it was me that posted that link up. I like to think that every day they're out there chasing money that doesn't exist is a day they aren't scamming a real victim.

What I did to that to that one scammer is NOTHING compared to some of the experts on there. Some scammers have travelled thousands of miles and wasted months, even years, of their lives. It is irony in the truest sense of the word because they fall for the same game they are attempting to play themselves.

Well, at least I know where to go next time I run across one of those scams.

Btw, are we allowed to talk about other phishing forums here? /duck

(Note for the humor impaired: That was a pun)
