And the engine is original?

I put almost 250K on an 87 Grand Marquis, and I thought *that* was a lot. I have a 95 Corolla I drive to work - it has about 150K on it now, and I hope it lasts as long as the Marquis did.

I'm curious. What's the most mileage everyone has gotten out of a vehicle?

had an Isuzu pick up , sold it when I hit 230,000 miles. Saw it was still on the road a year later.

(ran into the buyer at a gas station)

Semi trucks have been getting a million miles from a engine for a while now.

My first company truck had 900,000 on it when I got into it. I put over a 100,000 on it before it got reassigned to another driver. It was a 1991 International cabover with a M11 330E engine.

I had a Isuzu "pup" diesel pick up. I sold it at 235,000 miles to a friend 10 years ago. He is still driving it today.......every day from Virginia Beach to the NN Shipyard.

My neighbor commuted from the Outer Banks to his job at Newport News Shipyard every day. He had a Honda Civic 2 seater HF. Got rid of it with 389,000 miles. Everything was original except tires and 2 alternators.

My old work van, Dodge caravan, had 262,000 showing when I got it and the odometer had stopped working for about 6 months. When I just traded in for my new van in March it had 391,000 showing. They are still using it to deliver parts with in Richmond.

WOw, this is impressive. It sounds like you all really take care of your vehicles to get mileage like that. I always figured that once a car got over 200K, it was pretty much done. I pushed the Marquis, I thought, to get it to where I did. I have tried to take care of the Toyota in terms of maintenance since I've had it. I hope to get the mileage some of you all have gotten!

As for Isuzu, I had an I-Mark (87 I think) that I drove for about three or four years. It had about 75K when I got it, but it ran like a top. The only problem I had was an ex-girlfriend weakened the sway bar (found slag in the driveway) and that broke on me. I think it had about 150K on it when I sold it to a buddy, and he drove it local driving for several years after that.

My wife got a Hyundai a year or so ago. I was really skeptical, because I know nothing about them (other than the warranty). Hopefully, it will last awhile. So far, so good! :)

I had a 92 S-10 pick-up which I sold a few years ago to a buddy with 425,000 miles on it and it's still runnin great now with over 500,000 miles on it.
