Duncan Doughnuts. Chocolate Frosting and Butter Crunch. Krispy Cremes are good but too rich after 1. But I am not a cop:p

It they are hot and now it is the plain glazed.

If not I will take a KK Glazed creme filled.
None better with a good cold glass of milk.

Hot and Now!!!

If I go by a KK store and the hot lights on, the steering wheel mysteriously always turns in the parking lot. The duncan stores here in nags head and kdh serve them cold, no comparison here,
Krispy Kreme all the way.
Damn would give up a fishing trip now, for a hot dozen. and add another 2 miles to my morning walks.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out based solely on geography.

For example:
• East of the Mississippi river and south of the Mason Dixon I think we’ll see more votes for KK.
•North of the Mason Dixon I feel we’ll see a stronger polling for Dunkin’ Doughnuts or Tim Horton’s (or similar.)
•West of the Mississippi I think it will be DD also since KK’s seem like they’re few and far between after crossing the U.S. central meridian.

Either way I’m sure all the doughnut makers are happy the low carb craze has sizzled down. I for one personally know when I came off Atkin’s I fell into the sweet open arms of Krispy. It was a wonderful day indeed.

I'd have to go with Krispy Kreme as well - choc covered cream-filled. It's always bad news for my waistline when local schools sell them for fundraisers! :)

MMMMMM, donuts.

Tremont bakery here in Columbus. Giant Eagle grocery store also has good ones.

I'll throw in Dunkin' as well.

It's gotta be Britt's at Carolina Beach (if they are still there), interesting story, my father worked for Mr. Britt making donuts in the 40's and I worked for him in the summer of 68, 2 in the afternoon till 2 in the morning or till the boardwalk cleared. It was all hand done, rolling out the dough, cutting each donut, cooking at the front of the shop(so folks could see, but especially smell), in LARD [suck on that you trans-fat nazis], turning them over with drumsticks and drowning them with sugar glaze.
I'll bet I haven't eaten a dozen donuts since that summer.
BTW we served one kind glazed yeast.

Whoa!! You can MAKE YOUR OWN donuts?!! This is a newsflash for me! I like Orange Blossom donuts the best. I used to like Krispy Kreme and Duncan, but there isn't one within an hours drive of me now, so Orange Blossom will have to do!! :D:D:cool:

Britt's is still located on the Boardwalk at Carolina Beach. I ate a few donuts from Britt's a few weeks ago. They are great when they are hot. The next day, the bag is soaked in grease. They do not taste that great the next day.

However they are good when hot.

Being a doughnut afficionado and reigning donought eating champion at my office of 250, I'd have to go with Krispy Kreme - just about any type with a particular fondness to Boston Cream filled w/ Chocolate icing.

There are other donuts than KK?

Chocolate iced glazed for me.

Or maybe a chocolate iced glazed cruller.

Well glad that is settled

My Fiance's folks are Northerners and swear that KK tastes like crap, and Dunkin Donuts was better at which point I had to check Passports and call INS to deport them back to Assacheuttsus (or however your spell it)
