Though this provided interesting details about the Beijing Games. Everyone focuses on the opening ceremony, but this satire shows many more missteps. Even if you normally hate Rick Reilly, as I do, this is a comical read...

Only in America do we have to print every little misstep. Is it just me or was the 7 year old just plain ugly. Why can't we Americans forget everything and just play the damn games?? Last time I checked the Olyimpics were about sports, not human rights, not censorship, not if they faked fireworks, not if they faked a buliding, not any of that other BS. Is the media gonna be like this in 4 years in London. How about any references to the crown's consent of the slave trade in the 18th century, how about the tryannical brutality that the British had over her colonies?? No they won't why? England is one of the friggin' "good guys". Forget the politic forget everything else just PLAY THE DAMN GAMES for crying outloud

I agree who cares...games first and politics later there is no room for both at the same time.

Whether you agree with the politics or not, are you honestly going to say that this article did not make you chuckle at all?

All of a sudden this board has gotten this super serious air about it..

Did anyone see the benchwarmers? The other team brings in an old mexican dude and the ref is like there is no way he is a teen. Then the coach hands the ref a piece of paper that has a polaroid pic and crayon writing that says im 12 and it had like a dollar in it. The ref then says "yep hes 12 hes got documentation, play ball"

Later on Jon Lovitz is like its a shame letting a 12 year old get drunk like that
