what's the best rod i can pair with a penn slammer 760? price range is $75 max... will use the set-up for throwing bait, not for plugging as the reel is too damn heavy.

i'm planning to get between a 10' to 12' rod.isn't 12' to long?or is it a good match for the reel considering it's weight?

good choice or go with the longitude.

Go with the 12, size matters....LOL... seriously I myself will go for the 12 to even the 13.6 for beach fishing. If you are not plugging size is of little concern and for bait fishing it keeps the line out of the waves etc... plus I think you get better distance.... salt, oh, and I never disagree with the doggg
