Not an official Cigar aficionado- but do occaisionally light one up.
Even though im not a Cigarette smoker.

Cubans are a little overated and too expensive besides 97% are fakes anyway here in the USA.

So far the EO 601 Black label is a tough one to beat.

Ant other thoughts?

With or without Scotch,Beer...

I like Tabacalera cigars from the Phillipines. I also like many different brands of cigars as well. Dominican, Honduran, Jamaican (tobacco cigars only) etc.

I have had the chance to smoke Cuban cigars but did not because they are a communist country.

I just read about the EO 601 Black Label. I'm gonna buy a few from my local cigar shop and give them a try.

Its actually it's less than that. Most of your big Cuban tobacco growers moved and took thier seeds for Cuban Tobacco and set up shop in the Dominican Republic. Cuban tobacco, just grown in a different place.

I like:

Rocky Patel
El rey Del Mundo
Ashton
Cohiba
Partigas
Macanudo
Gurkha

Those are the ones that I have in my humidor. I prefer a good Maduro wrapper, medium to full body flavor preferibly in a 60 ring. 54 or 52 will do as well.

They aren't bad, medium-full flavor. Not as smooth as a Gurkha or a Rocky Patel at least for me.

The Partigas 150 is a great tasting cigar. Sadly they are SUPER pricy. Depending on where you get them they run between $925.00-$950.00 for a box of 25.

Arturo Fuentes...they have some real good ones, and a pretty good range as well...I generally wont go to my real expensive ones fishing, unless I know Im going to be sitting for a while.....when in the heat of the battle, I always seem to be dropping them, spilling something on them, bait encrusted hands, etc etc...same for beer, I'll usually pop the cheaper ones while 'actively' fishing....Once I settle down to the fire though...then out comes the good stuff while I wait for that reel to start screamin.....

I like the Fuente Chateau's, Rocky Edge Lites, Padron 2000, Partagas 828, and Flor De Olivia's. My favorites are my Camacho Selects and 1962's, and Fuente Hemingways or Short Stories, on a med smoke. St Louis Rey's on a full. All have nice rich complex flavors.

I favor Hondurans and Nicaraguans. Like a corona or toro.

My everyday smokes are Famous Hondurans house brands - can't be beat for the price. I do still like my old Backwoods for a quick smoke.

I did smoke a new one last week at the local smoke shop. The new NUB Camaroon by Olivia. A really good smoke for $4.85. About a 60 ring but just over 4" long. Still lasted over and hour. The hype is true about the sweet spot. A really good smoke.

How about Punch? I like the maduro. Pretty good smoke and not too pricey.
