choosing a rod

hello to everyone my ? is i have a torium14 i was looking to pair it with an penn pro guide 12fter or an saltiga surf 12fter i will be throwing 6to8 andbait are they good choices or would you suggest something else.

6-8 isnt a nice of a range to fish with, IMO.

you should get 2 rods. one for 4-6 ,then one for 8+. this way you have more headroom.
you dont necessarily need 2 reels. just use 1 reel with, and switch rods if need be.

you dont wanna be caught fishing with changing wind/weathers .. like your fishing with 4oz half day, then bAm!
tides roll in, the bite is on. but you need 10oz. and your 4-6oz rod cant cut it.

i see ok how about 1 rod say saltiga ballistic 35 or 40.
