I love my wife. :D I just got two tickets to Buddy Guy at the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach as an anniversary gift. I'm a rabid blues fan, and I love Buddy Guy, who I've never seen before. Woohoo!! :D:D:D

Congrats on scoring the tickets and for having a wife that knows your weaknesses! Sounds like a great catch. Happy anniversary!

I definitely want to hit that place up at some point. I also want to go to BB King's place in Memphis. There isn't a whole lot in this area for blues, and definitely nothing that would qualify as a blues bar. The Jewish Mother in Va Beach used to do a lot of blues stuff, but that has pretty much stopped. I'd love to have a place like either one of those to go.

...a GOOD time! I saw him twice in Baltimore. The first time at a small bar in Fells Point in the late 70's, and lastly at a small club in downtow Baltimore in the mid 80's. He had the late, GREAT Junior Wells with him at the time. At the latter show he was showing more of the Hendrix-like stuff that he now displays. You won't be disappointed.

BTW - Happy Anniversary! Seems like you caught a real keeper this time! :D

I saw BB at the Norva and at the Ferguson Center when he came. Hell of an entertainer. Some of the folks were gripin' and complaining about him telling stories, but I thought it was great. Money well spent! :)

I wish I had been there to hear some of his stories. I bet he has a lot of good stories to tell.
