This is a testament to the Forum. Dogg Fish (Steve) from Virginia recently posted in the Florida section looking for a little help for his vacation down in Florida.
He said he was coming down to Clearwater and I graciously responded and did my best to help with some information I posted and also PM'd him.
Well, I also went one step further and met up with him out at Big Pier 60 in Clearwater Monday. The weather was post card perfect. Must have been 75 degrees today.
The day started slow, but the tide picked up and so did the action.
Granted we didn't spend much to much time together in conversation, but we fished hard and managed to catch a few fish. It was a bit slow. We got a few small sea bass, and some small lane snapper, and I managed one small keeper mangrove snapper.

That's Dogg Fish (Steve) on the left and me on the right.
I also met his teenage kids (forgive me, I forgot their names) and they all seemed to have a good time.
Another angler caught two more nice mangrove snapper, the biggest going 18 inches. Another young vacationer caught a nice big silver trout going 13 inches, and I saw a few Spanish mackerel come over the rail. However, the sheepshead, of which normally I'm quite adept at catching, confounded and robbed me all day. LOL
All in all it was a bit slow, but a great day and another reason why this is such a great forum.
